Q1: Please tell us about yourself and what you do?

I’m Oliver Ziegler, CEO of Blockcurators GmbH and founder of Trezarcoin. At Blockcurators we are providing custom applications for clients as well as blockchain consulting. We got a working product which is a multi-platform tipbot for cryptocurrency including slack, discord and telegram, which is free to use.

Q2: When did you first develop your love of technology?

At the age of 8 I got my own computer and was gaming on it, later I was building my own ones and became addicted to explore what you can do with it. – Started coding with the age of 15 and that’s when all started.

Q3: When did you first realise the potential of Blockchain?

A fellow student told me about Bitcoin so I was doing some research and got hooked pretty fast, it was 2013 and I was exploring the space and sucking up all information I could get. So basically after half an year of research I thought, damn that’s pretty amazing.

Q4: When and why did you first get involved in Blockchain?

2013, I first got into Bitcoin and then got dragged into Altcoins where I started to work on Blockchain Technology with the Feathercoin Development Team. – I was interested in exploring the space and contributing with my skills.

Q5: How do you see the future of Blockchain and cryptocurrencies?

Blockchain is definitely here to stay, we haven’t seen a killerapp yet, but I am sure it’s being under development or will coming in the near future. I like to compare it to the internet, nobody knew at the beginning that there would be something like google, facebook or youtube built on top. Cryptocurrencies will find their place as a payment solution especially online and to transfer money to other countries for the obvious reasons, speed and transaction costs. Also like Bitcoin, they will be a store of value.

Q6: Bitcoin or Etherium or Alt Coin?

That’s a tough question, but I am going with 2 of these, Bitcoin and Altcoin.

Q7: Who do you think Satoshi is and what does he look like?

I think it may be a group of people, working under the pseudonym of Satoshi, but yeah, nobody knows.

Q8: What advice would you give to someone just starting out?

Read code! Get involved into projects, contribute! – Even if you don’t have the skills yet, you will learn more and more by reading github commits and trying to solve small tasks completely on your own.

Q9: If you had the power, what’s the one rule you’d change in the industry?

Probably the way exchanges work, we need to get them being more open and transparent.

Q10: If there was no such thing as Blockchain or cryptocurrency, what do you think you’d be doing instead?

I would probably work in IT-Security at an IT-Company in Germany.

Q11: Where are you based?

Beautiful Germany!

Q12:  As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I really liked soccer so I wanted to become a professional one, until I got hooked into the computer space.

Q13:  What’s your favourite movie?

Inception

Q14: Which is your favourite place in the world?

I really love Asia, especially Vietnam. If I would go with a place, probably nha trang beach

Q15: Which car you drive if you drive and which car would you like to own?

I own a BMW, and I am really satisfied with it

Q16: What would you miss most in your life if you were suddenly told you could no longer have it or do it?

Definitely the Internet!
